Tuesday, July 21, 2026 - A Kenyan woman has taken to Facebook to warn other women about a man she identifies as Andrew, alleging that he uses popular dating platforms to scam unsuspecting victims.
In the post, the woman claims
Andrew, who is reportedly from Machakos County, has active profiles on several
dating sites, including Tinder, Tagged, and AfroIntroductions, where he
presents himself as a Kenyan living in the United Kingdom and looking for a
serious relationship.
According to the woman, she had
previously shared a warning about him on another Facebook account after discovering
his scheme.
She believes he may have conned several women
using the same approach.
She claims that after gaining a
victim's trust, Andrew tells them he is travelling to Kenya.
To make the story believable, he sends
photos of expensive gifts such as iPhones, handbags, and perfumes that he
claims he has bought for them.
The woman further alleges that
Andrew then makes a video call while pretending to be at Jomo Kenyatta
International Airport (JKIA), telling the victim that he has arrived but cannot
reach his cousin, who was supposed to pick him up.
He goes on to request money for an
Uber ride to an Airbnb, promising to refund the amount later.
According to the Facebook post, this is where
the scam begins.
“So kindly be aware of him. How many
of you have met Andrew here? Let's save our sisters,” the woman wrote.
