Monday, October 26, 2026 - Lydia Chemu has broken her silence after her estranged husband bragged about subjecting her to physical abuse and shared photos of the injuries he inflicted on her body.

Speaking in an emotional video, Chemu recounted the abuse she endured at the hands of her husband, saying it eventually forced her to walk out of the toxic marriage.

She narrated how he would reportedly come home drunk and beat her up in front of their children, leaving her living in fear.

Neighbours are said to have grown tired of her husband's frequent domestic violence, eventually leading to their eviction.

After the eviction, her husband abandoned her with their children.

Chemu was forced to move from one Airbnb to another with her two children as she struggled to make ends meet.

One of her estranged husband's friends later hosted them at his house in Rongai, offering her a small room where she could stay with the children.

However, her troubles continued after her estranged husband tracked her down and assaulted her while under the influence of alcohol.

Her friends advised her to move to a safer location and organised a fundraiser to help her rent another house.

Despite these efforts, Chemu claims her estranged husband is still stalking her and has even threatened to kill her and dispose of her body.
