Thursday, July 23, 2026 - CCTV footage has emerged showing the moment a man claiming to have recently been released from prison walked into a business premises in Mihang'o, Nairobi, and engaged the owner in a tense conversation.
In
the footage, the man is heard alleging that he had just completed a seven-year
prison sentence for murder.
He
tells the trader that his life is in disarray following his release and that he
is struggling to rebuild it from scratch.
“Sina
kazi. Sina anything,” he is heard saying in the footage.
As
the conversation continues, the man shows off a firearm tucked in his clothing
and tells the trader that he is fortunate to be cooperating with him.
“I
went slow on you since you are cooperating,” he says, before adding that he was
aware the premises had CCTV cameras and warning the trader against sharing details of
their conversation.
The
man is later seen calmly walking out of the business premises after the
chilling exchange.
