Friday, July 24, 2026 - Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna's simple village house has sparked reactions on social media after a supporter recorded a video and shared it online.
The
video shows a modest home that contrasts sharply with the lavish mansions owned
by some politicians.
Unlike
some of his colleagues who have built multi-million-shilling homes in their
rural areas, Sifuna's house appears simple despite his status as one of Kenya's
most prominent politicians.
The
video comes just days after Sifuna said in an interview that he is the poorest
senator in the country.
He
claimed that some of his colleagues often make fun of him for not using his
political position to accumulate wealth.
“I
am the poorest Senator of Nairobi. They always laugh at me because I don't have
money, saying that I am the poorest Senator in Nairobi.
“I
am always told that there is money in Nairobi,” Sifuna said.
Below is a video of his modest village house.
